Image and document scanner: Canon’s first high-speed scanners for Mac


Canon has introduced two new high-speed scanners that, according to the company, are the first Canon scanners compatible with Mac.

The DR-2510M and the DR-2010M are included as part of the Canon imageFORMULA DR-Series scanners. Both of them have the TWAIN driver, which is necessary in order to work with a Mac. Also, the scanners include CaptureOnTouch, a software developed by Canon that allows users to make a quick scan of email folders, printers, shared applications, or specific programs such as iPhoto.

The main difference between these new scanners is the scan speed. The DR-2510M can scan color pages at 25 ppm in simplex mode and, in duplex mode, 50 images per minute. Not bad at all. On the other hand, the DR-2010M can scan color pages in simplex mode at up to 20 ppm and 40 images per minute in duplex mode.

The DR-2510M includes Ultrasonic Double Feed Detection while both of them come with Automatic Page Size Detection and Text Orientation Recognition. Also, both scanners feature image scanning at up to 600 dpi (dots-per-inch).

Remedies for constipation

If constipation is just an occasional discomfort, there are a number of strategies you can use to prevent future episodes.

  • Eat more fiber. Fiber will help you form soft, bulky stools that are easier to eliminate. Fiber can be found in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. You can also buy fiber pills or powders. A word of caution when adding fiber supplements to your daily regime: Drink plenty of water as directed to avoid gas and bloating.
  • Drink liquids. Liquids will add fluid to the colon and bulk to stools. The more hydrated the stool, the softer it is and thus, the easier it is to pass. Water and fruit juices are the best sources of extra fluids. Avoid alcohol and drinks with caffeine, such as coffee and soda, because they can cause dehydration.
  • Exercise regularly. One of the many benefits of regular exercise is that it gets all of your body’s systems functioning better. If constipated, exercising 20 to 30 minutes a day can help get your gut going. The more active one is, the better chances of having better bowel movements.
  • Consider laxatives. Laxatives work in different ways. Some agents increase the bulkiness of stool, while others soften. Laxatives can also be osmotic agents, which are salts or carbohydrates that encourage water to flow into the colon and improve elimination. Other laxatives stimulate the system and help physically trigger bowel movements. Additionally, some foods contain sorbitol, a natural laxative. Sorbitol is a very common sweetener for sugar-free gums and mints.
  • Answer the call. Behavioral habits can also affect constipation, therefore, if you feel the urge to have a bowel movement, don't wait — make a trip to the bathroom and relax.

Doughnuts Recipe


INGREDIENTS

Dough
400g flour
100g powdered milk
50g sugar
50g butter
1tp sugar
2tps yeast
little hot water
1 egg

Top covering
200g icing sugar
100g butter

METHOD

Dough
1.Put the little amount of sugar, yeast and the water to a cup and cover and keep it for half an hour.
2. While that mix the flour, powdered milk, sugar, butter and the egg together.
3. Now mix the yeast, sugar (which was kept for half an hour)and the dough together and leave it for half an hour, while leaving it for half an hour put some flour to the plate.
4. After leaving it for half an hour add little water from time to time, make sure you do not add too much of water if you have add a little flour to the dough until stickiness goes.
5. After the dough is ready you can make balls and get them to the shape you wish or the real shape.
6. Fry the doughnuts in deep oil, remember to take them in few seconds or else it will roast.
7. Leave the doughnuts after frying to let cool down.

Top Covering
1. While the doughnuts are cooling down you can make the icing.
2. Mix the icing sugar and butter, if you like in colour add colour of your choice, if you like it in chocolate add a little cocoa power.
3. If you do not like icing with cocoa powder you can use chocolate syrup.
4. After the doughnuts are cooled down put on the icing or the chocolate syrup.

Applying make-up to cover Acne

Your three acne hiding weapons will be a concealer, a foundation and a finishing powder. Stay away from the cheap products and use only brand names that you can trust.

Step #1: Apply the concealer in a light dabbing motion directly to any dark blotches or red areas that the acne has produced on your skin. Blend the concealer in using a disposable facial sponge. Use the concealer sparingly. You can always apply more if you need it but you don't want to layer it on too thickly. It will look terrible when it dries.

Step #2: Apply the foundation sparingly as well and use a light dabbing motion here too. Blend the foundation with your sponge and reapply to any areas that need it.

Step #3: Apply a light layer of the oil-free powder using a large makeup brush. This will take care of any shine that the acne concealer and foundation left behind and it will give you an even and finished look.
