Marc Bouwer
Cynthia Nellis,
1. Decide on Formality:
Usually the event invitation will clue you into the formality of the event, whether it's casual or black tie. But sometimes even that will cause confusion (short dress or long?)
In general, the later in the day the event (after 6 p.m.), the dressier. Long dresses are usually reserved only for formal (black tie) occasions.
While some fabrics are year-round -- silk, brocade, organza, jersey -- fabrics like velvet and gold spangles are best reserved for winter holidays.
2. Flatter Your Figure:
The most important feature of your new dress is how well it flatters you.
Remember that darker colors and simple cuts (a sheath, an A-line) are the most flattering.
Show off your best feature. If you have gorgeous eyes, then play them up with beautiful makeup, off-the-face hair and jeweled earrings in a complimentary shade.
Not sure what your best asset is? Ask a friend or significant other. Or go to a store that sells special occasion dresses and enlist the salesperson's help.
3. Choose a Color:
You could just wear a little black dress (classy, flattering and slenderizing), but why not explore some of the other dressy options?
Red, bold prints, even gold are dramatic enough for evening wear. Pastels, mid-range brights and soft prints look great for dressy day occasions.
Blue (from navy to royal), pink (from cotton candy to fuchsia) and white (from candlelight to cream) look great on almost everyone. Remember that the "Don't wear white to a wedding" wisdom is still considered a fashion don't by most women.
4. Pick a Style:
Catalogs, the internet and magazines are a great places to seek special occasion dress inspiration.
Instead of going with something trendy, try to find a dress that reflects classic, timeless elegance. Remember that you'll have to look at photos of you in the dress for years to come.
Classic special occasion dresses are often deceptively simple, but they usually let the beauty of the wearer shine through. A few examples: the little black dress (a.k.a the cocktail dress), a goddess gown (draped and rouched), a ballgown, a slip dress.
5. Shop:
Set a budget before shopping. Special occasion dresses usually cost more than $100, but if you comparison shop you can find one that works in your price range.
Shop secondhand stores and sales to save even more money on a dress.
If you shop in a store, dress for the day by bringing along heels, any special accessories you know you want to use and a strapless bra.
When shopping online, make sure you understand both the sizing (know your measurements and check against a size chart on the site) and the return policy (some stores don't take returns on dresses.)
6. Accessorize:
The trimmings will take their cue from the dress, but for special occasions your jewelery usually gets bigger and your bag and shoes get smaller (as in strappy sandals).
Although you may want to add tons of glitz, remember that you can kill a look with too much matchy-matchy accessorizing. Find earrings, necklace and bracelet that compliment each other without being a matching set.
If your legs aren't perfect enough to go bare need camouflage and you don't like to wear leg makeup, then opt for super-sheer hose or fishnets.

5 Geological Wonders you didn’t know
1.The Wave (between Arizona and Utah - USA)
A red-rock stunner on the border of Arizona and Utah, The Wave is made of 190-million-year-old sand dunes that have turned to rock. This little-known formation is accessible only on foot via a three-mile hike and highly regulated.
2.Antelope Canyon (Arizona - USA)
The most visited and photographed slot canyon in the American Southwest, the Antelope Canyon is located on Navajo land near Page, Arizona. It includes two separate, photogenic slot canyon sections, referred to individually as Upper Antelope Canyon --or “The Crack”-- and Lower Antelope Canyon --or “The Corkscrew.”
The Navajo name for Upper Antelope Canyon is Tse' bighanilini, which means "the place where water runs through rocks." Lower Antelope Canyon is Hasdestwazi, or "spiral rock arches." Both are located within the LeChee Chapter of the Navajo Nation.
3.Great Blue Hole (Belize)
Part of the Lighthouse Reef System, The Great Blue Hole lies approximately 60 miles off the mainland out of Belize City. A large, almost perfectly circular hole approximately one quarter of a mile (0.4 km) across, it’s one of the most astounding dive sites to be found anywhere on earth. Inside this hole, the water is 480 feet (145 m) deep and it is the depth of water which gives the deep blue color that causes such structures throughout the world to be known as "blue holes."
4.Crystal Cave of the Giants (Mexico)
Found deep inside a mine in southern Chihuahua Mexico, these crystals were formed in a natural cave totally enclosed in bedrock. A geode full of spectacular crystals as tall as pine trees, and in some cases greater in circumference, they are a translucent gold and silver in color and come in many incredible forms and shapes. The Crystal Cave of the Giants was discovered within the same limestone body that hosts the silver-zinc-lead ore bodies exploited by the mine and it was probably dissolved by the same hydrothermal fluids that deposited the metals with the gypsum being crystallized during the waning stages of mineralization.
5.Eye of the Sahara (Mauritania)
This spectacular landform in Mauritania in the southwestern part of the Sahara desert is so huge with a diameter of 30 miles that it is visible from space. Called Richat Structure --or the Eye of the Sahara-- the The formation was originally thought to be caused by a meteorite impact but now geologists believe it is a product of uplift and erosion. The cause of its circular shape is still a mystery.

How to Dress According to your Body Shape
It's very important to know your body, your body shape. And yes, more important is to know the proportions since it has nothing to do with the size you wear.
Learn to love your body, just take a look in a mirror and see how wonderful you're, and you're going to be more wonderful and beautiful by learning the kind of clothing that goes with your type of shape
Step 1
Curvy Hips:
* Floral prints blouses make your top half stand out.
* Bold or light colors on top and dark shades on bottom are a great choice.
* Broad necklines equalize your figure.
*Wide V-neck dresses balances out your figure.
Step 2
Petite:
* Ensure fit, and is best to get things tailored.
* Classic, structured shapes can concoct an illusion of tall and narrow.
* The bracelet sleeves make arms appear longer.
*A good trick to elongate your legs is to wear straight pants that cover your shoes.
* To elongate your body, wear vertical lines patterned clothing.
Step 3
Busty:
* Avoid bulky turtlenecks, which make you look heavy from the waist up.
* Black on top minimizes the attention to your chest.
Stick to clothes that are form-fitting.
* Buy a good bra with sculpted cups and sturdy straps to maintain allover smooth lift and prevent side bulges. Stick to clothes that are form-fitting.

Step 4
Full:
* Too tight sleeves accentuate arm bulge. Fabrics should skim upper arms. Bell sleeves are always chic too.
* Big prints aren't best, so go monochromatic to create the slimmest line.
* Rich red is always striking on that full figure.
* Look for tailored pieces like fitted button-ups, straight skirts and trousers, and wrap dresses that skim the body and give the waist definition

10 Great Uses For Twitter
"What is Twitter?" is the most popular question about Twitter, and "Why Twitter?" is definitely the most popular follow-up question. Even once you understand that Twitter has grown beyond a micro-blogging service to become a social messaging platform, it can still leave you wondering why you might want to use it.
We have cell phones and text messaging and social networking and blogging. So why Twitter?
There are many great business uses for Twitter, like sending out news briefs or advertising the latest job opening, but believe it or not, there are even more personal uses for Twitter.
Here are a few popular ways to use Twitter:
1. Microblogging
This one is obvious, but in the rush to put Twitter to other uses, many people forget its first use as a micro-blogging platform. And it is still one of the best uses. It's easy to make a quick tweet telling the world what you are doing, how good your morning coffee tastes or how bad your lunch went.
And it is a great way for friends and family -- even those halfway across the world -- to keep connected to your daily life.
2. Quick answers
The idea of crowdsourcing has never been so quick! You can ask all sorts of questions to the Twitter universe, from what is the capital of Alaska to what people think of a particular brand of baby food. And the more friends you have, the more detailed answers you will receive.
There are even web services set up to take advantage of this feature, so if you don't have many followers, don't worry. Mahalo will help get your question answered quickly. Simply send your question to @answers.
3. Finding a job
Whether you just got laid off or you are sick of your current job, Twitter can help you get a new job. Not only can you announce to the world that you are looking for employment, but many companies post their job openings on Twitter.
4. Keeping up with the news
From newspapers to magazines to TV stations and cable news, it seems everyone is adopting Twitter as the coolest thing since sliced bread. The coolest part is that it makes Twitter a great way to keep track of news.
Want to keep up with the news, but don't wan to clutter up Twitter? You can use a Twitter client like TweetDeck. And the neat thing about TweetDeck is that it is available for the iPhone too.
5. Arrange a lunch with friends
Twitter can be very useful for arranging a time and place to get together. It's like a conference call with text messaging. So, if you have a regular lunch date with a group of people, or just want to arrange a get together, Twitter can be a great way to nail down a time and place that works for everyone.
Like following the news, it can be handy to have your friends in their own group if you have a lot of followers.
6. Helpful outbursts, or in other words, screaming your rage
We've all had one of those days, whether it was someone pulling in front of us in traffic, or getting served the wrong type of coffee, it is sometimes these little things that can put us in a bad mood for the rest of the day.
The sagely advice is to let it out, but to who? It's not like most places of employment have a handy punching bag, and it's probably not smart to vent to your boss. That's where Twitter can be really helpful because it lets you rage to millions of people. And you might just get some sympathy tweets out of it too.
Just remember to watch the language.
7. Keep up with your favorite team
Twitter's search feature can be a great way to track trends or keep up with a particular subject. And if you are a fan of sports, it can be a great way to really connect with the team. Not only are many sports players on Twitter, but you have the media and millions of fans to keep you updated on the latest and greatest.
Can't get to a TV when your favorite team is on? Just follow the tweets on Twitter. Not only will you get regular score updates, but you'll get some fun color commentary to go along with it.
8. Find out what people really think about the latest movie
Similar to keeping up with your favorite team, you can also use the search feature to check out what the buzz is on the latest release at the theaters. Sure, you could check what the critics have to say, but their opinion isn't always in line with what people actually think of the film.
Twitter can be a great way to find out if the movie is a bomb or a bust, so you don't have to waste your money on a real dud.
9. Becoming involved with politics
Barack Obama laid down the blueprint, and politicians are increasingly turning to social media sites like Twitter. Not only is this providing a great way for politicians to get the word out, but it is allowing them to stay connected to their constituents. What better way to tell your senator what you think about a key vote than to send him or her a tweet?
But politics on Twitter goes far beyond just following politicians. The Iran election crisisshowed what a political force Twitter could be as it not only allowed Iranian citizens to break through the walls Iran hoped to keep up around the events, but also let people from around the world show their support by turning their profile pictures green.
10. Fun and Games
One of the most recent activities that is becoming popular on Twitter is the use of third-party games to interact with Twitter accounts. For example, Spymaster allows you to create your own spy ring using your followers as spies. You generate money for your spy ring by completing tasks either solo or in real-time with other spymasters.

Caring For Your Clothes-Mens Fashion Tips
Investing in a well-tailored and high quality wardrobe can be an exciting and rewarding experience.
It can also make a big difference in your outlook on life and on yourself. Keeping that investment in great shape takes a little work but that effort will keep your clothes in runway shape for a long time.
While it does take some effort on your part, you’ll probably become one of those people that others point to and say, “wow, how does he always look so good?” Part of my interest in wardrobe maintenance is probably genetic. I’m a New Englander and our obsession with using stuff until it literally falls apart in your hands is well-documented.
Here are a few basics that will help your cherished clothes last longer while still looking great.
Hang it up:
Make an effort to keep your clothes clean and well-maintained. An easy and basic part of this something called the hanger; just use it. When you get home after a long day at work, change right away and hang up your clothes. Use wood hangers, untreated cedar are a good choice. Don’t crowd your closet. Garments need to breath and should have space to air out. Most wrinkles will work themselves out in between wearings.
More brushing, less dry cleaning:
Most suits and sport coats only need to be dry cleaned about once a year. Delicate fabrics and linens may need more attention, but on the whole regularly brushing your garments with a clothing brush will remove most dust and dirt. Spot cleaning can address many minor stains and help avoid unnecessary trips to the cleaners. If your suit is looking a little too lived in, go ahead and take it there, but only for a press. That will freshen it up without the damage of dry cleaning chemicals.
Shoe trees:
In addition to protecting your dress shoes’ leather by keeping them polished, make sure to always use shoe trees. There are many models, but the best are full-sized and made from untreated cedar. The shoe tree will absorb moisture and help maintain your shoe’s shape. Varnished trees are fine as well, in fact I’m always on the lookout for the kind you’re likely to find in Ralph Lauren’s closet.
Don’t wear the same pair of shoes day after day; they need to rest and dry out. At the end of the day, give your shoes a quick brush down, insert trees, and give them a few days off. Should you get stuck in a rainstorm or have to tramp through snow, do not try to dry out your shoes quickly; it can permanently damage your fine footwear. Stuff them with newspaper, set them in a room temperature place and leave them alone. Change the paper if it gets damp but don’t rush the process. Also, make sure to brush off road salts or dirt immediately.
Launder with care:
When it comes to laundering your shirts at home, cold water is usually better. Iron on slightly cooler settings and lay off the starch. If you need to use it, starch only the cuffs, collars, and plackets; those areas that can get a little unruly. If you regularly send your shirts off to the cleaners, pass on the starch there as well. Commercial presses do a fine job of working out the wrinkles with extra chemicals.

10 Tips for Getting rid of ACNE
Top Ten Tips for Getting Rid of Acne
1. Fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds
Increase the variety of fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds in your diet. The easiest way to do this is to create delicious smoothies and juices from ripe fruit, have at least one salad every day — even just as a side dish — with your main meal, and snack on nuts and dried fruits. Brazil nuts and pumpkin seeds are fantastic for acne because they contain selenium (Brazils) and zinc (pumpkin seeds), deficiencies in these minerals have been linked to acne. If you're stuck for recipes containing a good variety of fresh ingredients, look no further than Clear Skin, the new eBook by Karen Jessett — it contains over 70 delicious recipes to aid acne-prone skin.
2. Water
Drink plenty of water every day. Aim to drink at least two litres of still mineral water. If the skin becomes dehydrated, dead skin cells are not effectively shed, which can lead to blocked pores and further acne.
3. Probiotics and prebiotics
Antibiotics destroy the bacteria in your digestive system, which can lead to poor digestion, constipation and reduced absorption of essential vitamins, minerals and nutrients — all of which can lead to more acne because your body isn't able to get rid of waste effectively and toxins get expelled via the skin instead. If you have been taking antibiotics for your acne, it's vital you replace the "friendly" bacteria in your digestive system with a good quality probiotic, such as Nature's Biotics.
Prebiotics are foods which help re-establish the good bacteria in the gut — these include honey, onions, artichokes and bananas. Taking a probiotic supplement and eating prebiotics foods will help restore the levels of beneficial bacteria that are destroyed by antibiotics.
4. Supplements & superfoods
Sometimes it's not possible to get all the vitamins, minerals and nutrients required to obtain and maintain clear skin. We can be eating all the right foods, but because of other factors — such as long-term antibiotic use — we may not be absorbing everything we need from our diets. There are a few supplements that are particularly useful to those with acne, including:
* Maca — a powdered Peruvian root vegetable that helps balance and stabilize the body's systems and helps normalise hormones. It tastes delicious blended into smoothies, a little bit sweet and little bit savoury. Maca is also rich in essential amino acids, fatty acids, phytochemicals and minerals, including calcium, magnesium, iron, potassium, silica and iodine.
* Nature's Living Superfood — A nutrient-dense, mineral-rich superfood, it contains a full spectrum of absorbable nutrients: vitamins, minerals, trace minerals.
5. Use only natural products on your skin
Many skin care products on the market contain chemicals that can aggravate acne-prone skin. By overloading the skin with harsh chemicals that strip the skin's natural oils, the skin will produce more oil to compensate — which can lead to more blocked pores and acne! Use products that contain natural ingredients such as tea tree oil, which is known for its antibacterial properties. The best method for dealing with acne-prone skin is the less-is-more attitude. Use as few products as possible so your skin gets a chance to heal on its own. If you wear make-up, buy formulas that are non-acnegenic or non-comedogenic (non-pore blocking).
6. Reduce stress
Stress is on of the biggest precursors of acne, especially beyond puberty. Controlling stress can reduce the release of the stress hormone cortisol, and therefore reduce the severity of the acne. Id you suffer from stress regularly, learn to recognise the early symptoms and take action. There are various ways you can reduce stress and become more relaxed:
* Exercise — especially Yoga and T'ai Chi. Moderate exercise will increase blood flow to the skin and aid healing, as well as improve the health of your internal organs enabling them to get rid of waste more effectively.
* Relaxation techniques, such as breathing exercises and meditation
7. Reduce your intake of sugar and refined carbohydrates
There is recent research pointing the finger at diet — eating refined carbohydrates (white bread, pasta, rice, flour etc) and sugar leads to a surge in insulin and an insulin-like growth factor called IGF-1. This in turn leads to an excess of male hormones, which encourage the skin to excrete large amounts of sebum. This grease-like substance encourages the growth of bacteria responsible for acne.
Refined carbs/sugar = more insulin = more hormones = more sebum (oil) = more bacteria = more acne
8. Reduce your intake of caffeine
Caffeine increases the levels of stress hormones in the body and can aggravate acne. Avoid coffee, tea, chocolate and other stimulant containing drinks.
9. Reduce your intake of dairy and red meat
Dairy products and meat are hard for us to digest, and are acid-forming in the body. The condition of the skin is linked to the health of your internal organs. If you're struggling to digest high levels of animal protein, your body won't get rid of waste products effectively, and they will be released via the skin as acne. Dairy and red meat also contain high levels of hormones which can increase our our levels, and result in more acne. Many people are also intolerant to dairy products without realising it, and a mild intolerance can manifest itself as acne. There are plenty of alternatives to dairy these days — and you can create simple and nutritious nut milks at home, such as the calcium-rich sesame and banana super smoothie.
10. Sunshine and fresh air
Sunshine stimulates the creation of vitamin D in the body — an essential vitamin for healthy skin. A little bit of fresh air and sunshine every day will also reduce stress and increase oxygen to the skin. Even when it's overcast, the sun's rays reach us, so take a 10 minute walk outside every day. Don't get burnt in the sun though — apart from increasing the risk of skin cancer, burnt and heavily tanned skin forms a thick layer on the skin's surface that doesn't exfoliate quickly enough and leads to blocked pores.

Fashion Tips For 50+ women
If you are a fifty plus woman there are a few fashion rules you might find helpful in achieving a sexy, stylish appearance:
Re-evaluate yourself
Lots of things change with age, so make sure you re-evaluate your figure type and face shape. You need to dress to flatter who you are now, rather then trying to get back what's gone. Your bra size, or lingerie needs may have changed also, so get fitted again for these items.
Don't be a bag lady
Getting older doesn't mean it's time to hide your body under baggy smocks, or sweat suits. Choose well cut tailored clothing, or pieces that drapes nicely. Fabric is often they key so don't scrimp in this department. Look for silks that hang beautifully on the body without clinging and wool blends in tailored pieces, because they offer structure. Palazzo pants and stretch jeans are comfortable, but not dowdy in the pants department. Floaty silk blouses, or semi fitted button front tops look great. In the dress department semi fitted styles tend to work best.
Enlist some support
There are lots of clever fashion garments today that can help lift and shape your figure. These can help take years off your body. There are supportive swimsuits that offer tummy panels, stockings that reduce the width of your thighs and butt, and virtually every imaginable lingerie solution to improve your appearance.

Ditch anything childish
If you want to look stylish stay clear of anything obviously juvenile, for example cute looking prints, logos and trends you only see in stores aimed at teens. Dressing in young women's clothing won't make you look youthful; it could actually make you look silly. It is far better to stick to
Wear color on top
As we age, we have a tendency to loss pigment in both our hair and face. Some of this can be counter balanced with hair dye and make up, but it is also beneficial to wear a flattering color on your top half. This will help you to avoid looking washed out and tired.
Finally some key items to avoid wearing; pleated high waist skirts, fleecy vests, pants that are baggy through the bottom region but tapered at the ankle, and over sized, shapeless tops and cardigans.

DIFFERENT FORMS OF ASTROLOGY
Graphic Source : http://yogini.files.wordpress.com
Different Forms Of Astrology
astro According to traditional norms, we can classify astrology into the following broad classes based on the areas that they were practiced.
* Babylonian Astrology
* Persian and Arab Astrology
* Chinese Astrology
* Hellenistic Astrology
* Indian Astrology
* Western Astrology>
BABYLONIAN ASTROLOGY:
Babylonian Astrology was the first organized system of astrology that existed as early as the 2nd millennium. It is believed that Babylonian astrology was primarily mundane, and before the 7th century the practioners understanding of astronomy was very rudimentary. It mainly involved associating the Gods of Babylon with the then known five planets Jupiter, Venus, Mars, Saturn and Mercury. Interestingly enough Babylonians were the first ones to invent calendars, name the days of the week(after the sun, moon and the 5 planets), and set out the twelve houses of the horoscope.
PERSIAN AND ARAB ASTROLOGY:
Most classical sciences like mathematics, astronomy and even astrology are said to have been preserved and used by the Muslim world from periods as early as the 8th Century. Europe was going though the time of the Dark Ages. In this stage, Astrology and Astronomy were linked and hence were persevered. Astrology was in favor of the Islamic world when it was associated with mathematics, science and astronomy. As it began to emerge as a separate discipline, it began to be regarded as superstition and fortune telling. As fortune telling is forbidden in the Koran, modern day astrology is considered negative.
CHINESE ASTROLOGY:
Chinese astrology is actually an interpretation from the Chinese calendar, which is based on astronomy and ancient Chinese philosophy. The Chinese zodiac is purely a calendrical cycle. They associated the five known planets with different elements on Earth. According to Chinese Astrology, a person's destiny can be determined by the position of the major planets, along with the positions of the Sun, Moon and comets and the person's time of birth and Zodiac Sign. Interestingly, the twelve year cycle of animal cycles was created based on the observations on Jupiter’s rings.
HELLENISTIC ASTROLOGY:
Hellenistic Astrology was developed in the Hellenistic Egypt and Mediterranean and existed around the same time as Babylonian Astrology. This was a complex system of astrology which was developed to such an extent that it made fundamental changes to the traditional system of Astrology itself. Many of the Hellenistic concepts of astrology are employed even today by many astrologists.
INDIAN ASTROLOGY:
It was popularly known as Jyotisha and strangely enough still practiced widely all over India. It is considered to be one of the six branches of Vedanta or sacred teachings. Each year has a name for a specific period of sixty years. There are also twelve months, each month divided into fifteen day periods, depending on the waxing and waning on the moon. Auspicious and inauspicious times are predicted based on the positioning of the Moon and the planets. Baby names are chosen this way as they have to be approved astrologically as the right name for the kid. Even the time of Death is predicted this way.
WESTERN ASTROLOGY:
Western Astrology was known to have its origin in Mesopotamia. Although in ancient times, it consisted of mainly superstitions and myths, modern day western astrology is largely based on the zodiac. These twelve zodiacs not only represent the twelve months of the year, but also the characteristics and personality types of people. These twelve signs were divided into the four elements – Earth, Fire, Water and Air. Many parts of the world are still ruled by the ancient laws of Astrology, but the most commonly and widely accepted rules are still that of the twelve signs of the zodiac. Right from a daily prediction up until prediction for the years to come, zodiacs are considered as the basis for all modern day astrology.

Basic Concepts Of Ayurveda
Source :http://www.healthline.com
Ayurveda identifies three basic types of energy or functional principles that are present in everyone and everything.
These are the three Doshas namely Vata, Pitta and Kapha. These principles can be related to the basic biology of the body. These Doshas decide the Constitution (Prakruti) of a person. Living beings require energy for all body functions be it metabolism or regeneration. Vata is the energy of movement, Pitta is the energy of digestion or metabolism and Kapha, the energy of lubrication and structure. All people have the qualities of Vata, Pitta and Kapha, but one is usually primary, one secondary and the third is usually least prominent. The cause of disease in Ayurveda is viewed as a lack of proper cellular function due to an excess or deficiency of Vata, Pitta or Kapha. Disease can also be caused by the presence of toxins known as Ama.
In Ayurveda, body, mind and consciousness in work together in maintaining balance. They are simply viewed as different facets of one’s being. To learn how to balance the body, mind and consciousness requires an understanding of how Vata, Pitta and Kapha work together. According to Ayurvedic Philosophy the entire cosmos is an interplay of the energies of the five great elements Space (ether), Air, Fire, Water and Earth. Vata, Pitta and Kapha are combinations and permutations of these five elements that manifest as patterns present in all creation. In the physical body, Vata is the subtle energy of movement, Pitta the energy of digestion and metabolism, and Kapha the energy that forms the body structure.
Ayurveda accepts the Hindu Philosophy principle that everything in this universe is made–up of five basic elements. And everything that exists in the universe has a miniaturized representative in our body. Thus the five principles that make the universe make–up our body.
These elements, known as the Pancha–mahabhuta are
* Prithvi or Earth.
* Jal or Water.
* Teja/Agni or Fire.
* Vayu or Air.
* Aakash or Space/Ether.
These five elements are the basis of life and everything can be explained in terms of these five. For example, the bulky and solid parts are composed of Prithvi, the digestive enzymes or any source of heat is Agni, the hollow and empty parts are Aakash.
Ayurveda states that the body is composed of three main substances
* The Tridoshas (three doshas).
* The Dhatus (these are seven in number).
* The Malas (the waste products, chiefly contain feces, urine and sweat).
Dhatus are basic tissues which maintain and nourish the body. They are formed from the nutritional juices of our food. Proper amount and functioning of each Dhatu is very important for good health. Malas (pronounced as ‘Ma–laas’) are wastes produced as a result of various metabolic activities in the body. Proper elimination of malas is essential as their accumulation can lead to several diseases. All these factors are inter–related and directly or indirectly help in maintaining the equilibrium of the tridoshas.

10 Benefits Of Strength Training For Women
1) Increased Metabolic Rate
Here is one of the most important benefits of strength training for women. We always want to discover the secrets to weight loss... well here is the first secret! 2) Increasing and Restoring Bone Density -
Strength training prevents and fights osteoporosis. Read my entire report on strength training benefits for osteoporosis by clicking here.
3) Increased Lean Muscle Mass -
Note: You will not get big and bulky by strength training! You simply do not have enough testosterone in your body. Yes, if you train for hours and hours and dedicate your life to becoming a bodybuilder you can bulk up.
But simply lifting weights as part of a regular strength training routine will not cause women to bulk up. With that said, for every pound of lean muscle mass that you have, you burn 35-50 calories per day!
If you have 10 pounds of lean muscle mass then you burn between 350-500 calories. If you have 20 pounds you burn between 700 and 1000 calories per day! This is one of the biggest benefits of strength training for women.
4) Injury Prevention -
Strength training strengthens our muscles and tendons. The stronger we are the less chance of an injury. This is especially important as we grow older. The benefits of strength training for women and men are highly touted for injury prevention.

Fashion Tips For Fat Men
Many men worldwide suffer from excess weight and want to get rid of it. It is not easy but with much diligence and regular training and dieting it is quite possible.
When you start feeling you are losing weight your looks will improve a lot since clothes will fit you better.
As a result your self-esteem will boost dramatically as well as your motivation to try new fashions and styles.
As there’s no reason to put off looking good until you reach your goal weight, I’ve put together several fashion tips to help you flatter your shape right now and create a slimmer-looking physique.
1.Stand up straight
This is very easy and doesn’t cost you anything. Work on your posture. When you stand up straight you look like you have just dropped 10 to 15 pounds. Besides, this makes people look and THINK more confident.
2.Make sure your clothes fit you well
Clothes should fit perfectly. Garments should skim over your body and smooth out its surface.
Stay away from too tight clothes as they will reveal all the lumps and bumps you’d rather hide from other people’s eyes.
And too loose clothes are not for you either, since they will make you look larger than you actually are.
3.Avoid tops with sloped shoulders
Never try tops with naturally sloped shoulders because these tend to draw the eye down to your midsection.
Instead, look for tops which have slightly squared shoulders as they will focus others’ attention on your body to your chest and face.
4.Steer clear of bold patterns
No loud or bold patterns can be worn if you want to avoid attracting attention to the upper half of your body.
The only pattern possible is vertical lines for they create optical continuity and help elongate the look of your body.
Opt for dark, solid colors as they create a slimmer silhouette and make you seem at least 10 pounds thinner.
5.Wear V-neck shirts
V-necks are perfect about creating the illusion of a slimmer neckline, especially if you have a double chin, since emphasis is made on your chest area instead of on your neck.
Dickies Medical - Mens Raglan Sleeve Solid Top-XL (Pewter) - Apparel
When you select a dress shirt, ones with very pointed collars will be the best since they focus attention on your face.
6.Wear three-button blazers
Three-button blazers will work for you making your appearance longer and leaner.
Always remember to leave the top button of your blazer undone as it will prevent your clothes from pulling, particularly in the middle area.
7.Stay away from bulky blazers
Of course chunky wool sweaters are a big no-no for you as they will add too much additional weight to your look.
To keep warm in winter, try cashmere that provides enough warmth without adding bulk to your figure. For suits, choose softer wools so that the fabric is as thin as possible.
8.Wear pants with a longer hem
Wear your pants as long as possible to seem taller and thinner. They should hit almost at the ground to be able to lengthen your body.
And the last but not the least (and it is hardly about fashion at all!) - love yourself.
If you love yourself you always feel confident and you look good no matter what you are actually wearing. But if you feel insecure and think your weight makes you look ugly no garments or tips can help you to change the situation.

Cisco Launches FlipShare TV
Cisco (NSDQ: CSCO) on Wednesday introduced a wireless device that streams high-definition video stored in a PC or Mac to a TV.
The FlipShare TV is meant as a companion device to the Flip mini-camcorder Cisco acquired in March. The new set-top box connects to the TV via an HDMI cable that comes with the device, along with an oversized USB dongle that plugs into a USB port on a PC or Mac
The dongle and console are pre-configured to communicate wirelessly, so video stored on the computer can be streamed to the TV. The FlipShare TV includes a remote control for clicking through video via the device's TV interface.
The new product is designed to work with FlipShare 5.0, the latest software for the Flip camcorder. The software makes it possible to organize, edit, and share video online, such as on YouTube.
In addition, FlipShare 5.0 makes it possible to upload video to Flip's FlipChannel service, which enables people to share video over the Internet by setting up channels that can be accessed by selected friends and family. In order for FlipShare TV to show online video, the content must first be streamed to the home computer.
FlipShare TV communicates over a peer-to-peer 802.11n Wi-Fi connection. The set-top console is 4.6 x 4.6 x 1.3 inches and weighs 4.6 ounces. The manufacturer suggested retail price is $150.
The device features a USB connector that "flips" out from the camera for easy insertion in PCs and other devices. Flip Video's FlipShare software facilitates use of the camera for posting videos to YouTube and other Web sites.

tips for mobile phone safety
Many studies have revealed that prolonged use of mobile phones can expose the user to damaging levels of radiation. At the same time, mobile phones are such a convenience that they are becoming more and more popular. In many advanced countries, mobiles phones have numerically overtaken regular land-based phones, that is, there are now more mobile phones in these countries than land phones.
Under these circumstances it is important to use mobile phones in such a way as to reduce the health risks involved in their use, since we cannot do without these handy gadgets. Here are some simple tips that any mobile phone user can follow and considerably reduce the level of exposure to harmful radiation and thus cut down health risk.
1.Keep the phone away from your body when it is not required
Many people attach cords to their mobile phones and wear them on their neck, so as to have both hands free for other work. This can greatly increase the risk of radiation because the phone is always close to the chest and near vital organs like the heart. One must remember that the moment it is switched on, the hand set tries to establish and maintain contact with the satellite or the transmission tower. This means it is constantly emitting radiation, irrespective of whether you are actually receiving or making a call or not.
The further away from your body the phone is the less radiation you are exposed to. Therefore, when it is not actually needed, keep the phone on the writing desk, in your bag, or on the bedside stool within easy reach of your hands. This is much safer than hanging it around your neck, holding it in your hand, or keeping it in your pocket.
2.Hold it at the bottom
When you make or receive calls, don’t hold the phone in such a way that most of it is covered by your hands. By covering large areas of the phone with your hand, you reduce its ability to send and receive signals. The phone then increases its power and transmits stronger radiation to compensate for this. So hold the phone as far down as possible, so that it can operate at low power.
3.Get in the best position
You can see the signal reception strength in the display. When the reception is good the phone reduces power and radiation. If the reception is weak, the phone uses maximum power and emits maximum radiation. So move closer to a window, or come out of a room or vehicle to increase signal reception and decrease radiation exposure levels.
4.Use a regular phone if possible
If you have a regular phone, make use of it in place of your mobile phone whenever possible. The amount of radiation you take in is directly proportional to the length of time you talk on a mobile phone. This will also save you money as land phone tariffs are usually lower than mobile phone tariffs.
5.Keep conversations brief
Since the amount of radiation is directly related to the length of time you talk on a mobile phone, keeping your conversations brief will have a very beneficial effect on you in that you will be exposed to less radiation.
6.Keep children away from mobile phones
Do not let small children talk for long durations on a mobile phone; they are more susceptible to radiation damage than adults.
7.Hazardous areas of use
In addition to the risk from radiation, mobile phones are dangerous gadgets in other ways also. For example, the signal strength is sufficiently high to cause fire in places where inflammable material abounds, like a petrol pump. Therefore always keep the mobile phone switched off at petrol pumps to avoid causing a fire. Also do not use your mobile phone where there is a lot of electrical equipment such as an aircraft or a hospital. The mobile phone signals could interfere with the electrical equipment and cause accidents.
If the phone rings while you are driving, you can be distracted from your driving and this could lead to major accidents. Therefore, do not use a mobile phone while driving. Stop at a safe place and then talk.
8.Matters of etiquette
Show consideration to those around you when you are using a mobile phone. Select a low volume for ring tones and beeps. Keep your ring tones decent, those fancy ones can irritate people around you. Talk softly into your mobile phone. During meetings, prayers and other public gatherings, and in trains, aircrafts, libraries, cinemas, playhouses and other public places, make it a habit to turn your hand set off or to keep it in silent mode.

Once you are confident with your exercise form the resistance can be steadily increased.
If you do not know how to perform an exercise correctly see if you can have a quick chat to a personal trainer in the gym to show you some pointers. Booking an hour with a personal trainer may be a wise investment, working through the form of the major exercises you will be performing within your routine.
2. A simple and effective routine
Following a fancy routine you find in a glossy magazine which promises over night results, or mimicking the routine of a Mr Olympia competitor, will neither be effective or productive for a beginner to weight training. Furthermore, focusing a lot of effort on exercises which target the biceps may seem like the way to go for big arms, but realistically will not be as effective as following a routine which incorporates the main compound exercises which offer stimulus to all major muscle groups.
By compound exercises we mean the multi joint exercises which target a number of muscle groups during the execution of the lift. Examples being, the bench press, squat, dead lift, row, shoulder press and the pull up. Using the shoulder press as an example, the pressing of the barbell above the head calls on the recruitment of the deltoids (the shoulders, also commonly referred to as “delts”), the triceps, and core stabilising muscles.
Repetition range would commonly be 8-12, with 3 sets per exercise. That is to say, you would perform the exercise movement 8-12 times in a controlled manner, rest for 2 minutes, and then repeat until you have done this 3 times for the exercise. You would then move onto the next exercise, and so on.
3. Learn the value of food
Heavy lifting and gains in muscle mass and strength requires energy. Carbohydrate and calorie dense meals are needed for the weight trainer who wishes to advance with muscle mass and strength. Protein is also well known as an important macronutrient due to its role in muscle building and repair, hence why many weight trainers choose to take protein shakes.
A beginner to weight training should seek to eat four to five balanced meals throughout the day, composing of wholesome sources of carbohydrates, protein and fat. The addition of vegetables, or fruit for desert will allow for the inclusion of vital micronutrients.
Only once a trainer has a staple dietary intake of wholesome foods which will aid his/her weight training should they seek any form of supplementation. The inclusion of a whey protein powder directly after workout, with also a daily intake of creatine monohydrate may be the next step for a weight trainer, but little reliance should be placed upon such supplements, whole food diets plays a much greater role.
4. Do not try to do too much too fast
This point could hold true for your supplement intake, and your weight training. As mentioned in the previous tip, many supplements will be marketed in a manner which leaves many uneducated weight trainers hooked in to buying the product, ready for the quick gains in muscle mass and strength. Whilst there are many great supplements out there, they should be only seen as additions to your nutritional intake, and not alternatives. Once you have trained for a sustained period of time, following a suitable wholesome diet which is dense in the nutrients your body craves when weight training, should you take a realistic look at supplements to further aid your progression.
Furthermore, the basic compound exercises which you have been performing should remain high on your priority list as you advance in muscle size and strength. The addition of other exercises, even exercises which isolate the smaller muscles such as the biceps, deltoids or triceps, can be implemented as you become more advanced, but the compound exercises should remain the backbone of your training routine.
5. Be patient
Whether you are looking for increased muscle mass, increased strength, or just overall greater muscle functionality, progression takes time. Many beginner weight trainers will notice relatively rapid progression in strength when they first begin a weight training program, but as the first couple of months past the gains will start to slow down. The key to long term success is the sustained commitment to training and diet, which will see steady but ever increasing advances in size and strength.

top 5 Best selling Cars of all time
Success in car industry is measured only through results of sale,
although in the last decade this criterion started to lose value as
well. Increased competition and lowered profitability resulted in
continuous losses per sold car recorded by the leading car makers.
It was caused by multiple reasons – from expensive labor and costs
of restructuring to manufacturing deficiencies caused by trying to
present the whole range of new cars as soon as possible, which
inevitably led to many withdrawals and expensive corrections of the
cars. Still, some cars gained the buyers’ trust all around the
world. Different generations of cars such as Toyota Corolla,
Volkswagen Golf or Honda Civic became more and more popular and
sold in higher quantities.
1. Toyota Corolla
The making of Corolla started in 1966 when Japanese manufacturer
decided to present a small compact car which integrates quality,
style and cost-effectiveness of more prestigious models. During 40
years Corolla had as many as nine generations, and in 1997 it was
the best selling car of all time. To the present day more than 35
million vehicles were sold and we can expect it to stay on the top
in the future.
2. Ford - F series
It is almost unbelievable that the second ranked in total sale is a
pick-up vehicle. Even more impressive information is that this
vehicle reached such a score only on North American territory.
However, the most surprising is the fact that Ford’s F series is at
present the best selling car in the world. Every year Ford sells
almost a million cars, that is almost one vehicle every 30 seconds.
So far, 25 million vehicles of the F series were sold.
3. Volkswagen Golf
hird ranked is second of two Volkswagens - Golf, which gained in
popularity on a global scale through five generations, and to the
present more than 24 million cars have been sold. The latest
Volkswagen generation will once more try to win the American
market, and its advantage is the fact that the American buyers are
more and more oriented towards buying more cost-effective cars.
Golf has been produced since 1974, and its sports GTI version
recently celebrated its 30th birthday.
4. Volkswagen Beetle
Volkswagen’s Beetle is the best selling car in history. Legend has
it that Adolf Hitler himself drew its legendary shape on a paper
towel. During almost 60 years, the incredible 21,529,464 Beetles
were produced, which is particularly significant when taking into
account the fact that during 60 years the Beetle had the same car
body, with some mechanical changes. The original form of the Beetle
was produced until 2003, when the last car left the Volkswagen
factory in Mexico.
